Anne Elise Teeling is a charming, captivating, and creative soprano based in Brooklyn, New York. Frequenting the stage, she has appeared in featured roles with Opera in the Ozarks, the FSU Opera Department, Northwestern Opera Theatre, and Chicago Summer Opera. Previous credits include Stella in Previn’s A Streetcar Named Desire and Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with the FSU Opera Department, the title role in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea with Chicago Summer Opera and Flora in Britten's Turn of the Screw with Northwestern Opera Theater. Well-suited to the concert stage, she recently appeared as the soprano soloist for the Tallahassee Community Chorus’ performances of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Carmina Burana, and Mozart’s Coronation Mass. Equally comfortable with chamber work, she has performed in multiple concerts – most notably appearing in performance with FSU’s Collegium Musicum as the soprano soloist in Bach’s Coffee Cantata. She is excited to join the roster of Opera on Tap’s New York Chapter this season as a concert soloist.

An avid competitor, Anne Elise won the Senior Division of Ocala Symphony Orchestra’s 2024 Young Artist Competition. Most recently, Anne Elise won the Grand Prize at Delta Symphony Orchestra’s 2025 Young Artist Competition. She looks forward to singing her winning pieces, “À vos jeux,” from Thomas’ Hamlet and “Presentation of the Rose” from Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, with the orchestra in February.

When not singing, Anne Elise likes to explore the mystery of human relationships through writing short stories. Her attachment to storytelling is part of the reason she enjoys bringing characters to life on stage. She believes that stories, in any form, encourage empathy and genuine human connection. Anne Elise is originally from Des Moines, Iowa.
